> I can't take Prozac etc in that class so we went to Effexor, small dose with samples was wonderful. I have diabetes, Effexor made the carb cravings go away, helped the Nuerophathy and was great. Then went to 75 mi in samples. Nausea became really bad, no cravings went to wanting no food at all. I couldn't eat, lost 12 lbs. etc. dizzy to the point of staggering, lost interest in everything, no emotions at all. It went from good to horrible in four weeks. I stopped it. The withdrawal is horrible. I had chest pains, arm pains, slept for 14 hours and slept for 3 hours and stayed up all night, slept all day and so on for a week. Withdrawals, crying, not eating at all, bad experience.
Gypsy,
I can relate to what you're going through. I have been off effexor for 10 days went from 300 to 0 with a gradual taper. I am on a small dose of zoloft. The withdrawal from effexor is lousy - you feel like you have the flu all of the time right? Just remember you will feel better - this too will pass. I am at work right now and have constant difficulty concentrating or remembering.
Keep in touch let me know how you're doing.Mary oeps 7
