Patient control over choice of meds

Posted by Kira on September 4, 2003, at 14:00:35

I've been contemplating taking Zoloft for the depressive episodes - and staying away from mood stabilizers, but am wondering if a doctor will "force me" to take or refuse to give me certain meds. How much control does the patient have in choosing the type of medication/treatment for bipolar?
