Effexor does help with my anger problems. I also have a drinking problem but Effexor doesn't make it worse. In fact, Effexor has helped me get through maritial problems and the death of my mother-in-law. Effexor helps with my anxiety, which is a MAJOR trigger for me to drink.

Give it a chance again or try something new. Lots of options out there. :)
