EXACTLY! Sometimes it hurts when the ones we love do things that hurt us. Did you discuss with him, or was it possible, at any time, to discuss with him, if he felt the Klonopin and Depakote were helping him? Was he feeling better? Feeling any different? Is this 'crack' episode the first or a habit?
So, he was looking much healthier, but you also said 'he looks bad'? Please remember that *if* he is an addict, until he wants help, he is not going to receive any shape or form of it from anyone, or anything. I think that all you can do now IS pray for him.
Hang in there and keep posting:-)He was taking his Depakote and Klonipin. He was taking the steps to get into a mental health halfway house. He looked much healthier. Sounded good.

> Pretty ugly scene. He is dreadfully desperate and miserable. He looks bad. If I thought that any other action would be more helpful, I'd do it. I offered him a choice, a ride to the state mental health facility wear they know him, or I leave him with his out of gas truck, no money and a lot of atitude. He chose the later.
