Does provigil work on norepinephrine? I cant seem to get a straight answer about that in any literature. I am definitely one who has problems with lower energy stuff, not necessarily anxiety, but lack of energy or focus, general depression. Maybe I should raise the dose?
Another set of problems I have is health related-I have asthma and other inflammatory conditions which seem to respond very favorably to norepinephrine stimulation. I am not getting so much of that so far with the provigil, but I am only day 2.
What about Mirapex or Requip? Any opinions?>
> My advice would be to seek out a doctor who understands the nature of anxiety disorders and how debilitating they can be. I simply don't see why doctors insist on putting their patients through all this pain of medications that may or may not work, may not work well enough, and take several weeks to work *if* they're going to work at all. I mean, why should they put you through all that when they could simply give you a benzodiazepine and immediately (and drastically) improve your quality of life?>>What is benzodiazapene, Is that methadone? Ive seen it mentioned a couple of times on these boards..
I also will mention the dexedrine idea to my doc.
My main concern about the addiction/dependecny issue is that, in my experience, I have to take more and more wellbutrin (I am now at the highest dose and cant go any higher due to risks of seizure). Does this mean I will eventually have to take so many drugs in high doses that my body will fail to produce as much dopamine as before unless I take all these meds? I am not the addictive type, but that concept is still a bit worrisome...Thanks sooo much for these answers. I really appreciate it!
