In reply to Lamictal-Lexapro-Straterra combo, anyone?, posted by Ponder on August 20, 2003, at 11:20:49
To treat a "breakthrough" depression (i.e. treatment resistant following poop-out of a combo drug regimen) I am taking Lexapro (40mg) targeting serotonin, Straterra (80 mg) targeting norepenephrine, Wellbutrin (300 mg) targeting dopamine, Carbatrol (800 mg) for mood stabilizing plus possible catalyst for antidepressants, Lamictal (300 mg -- high dosage due to liver enzyme inducing effect of Carbatrol) for mood stabilizing, Cytomel/t3 (25 ug) to help prevent breakthrough, follate (2mg) to prevent breakthrough, fish oil (equivalent to 1000 mg EPA) for antidepressant and general health effect. Oh, and Androgel testosterone supplement (10 mg) since my testosterone level was off the charts low. Shissh! And I don't even like to take aspirin.
So yes, I do think the proposed combo makes sense.
