"I was depressed. Went to family doc, got on Effexor, helped a little but not enough. Went to Pdoc -added Wellbutrin, helped a little - upped the doses on both meds at the same time. Got Hypomanic. Quit Wellbutrin, mania disappeared. How does 1 episode of mania in my life, induced by medication make me bipolar? If I took a med that made me paranoid and hallucinate, does that mean I am schitzophrenic? No."
>>>>>>>>>>> I agree with you completely!
I'm just confused. Never was MANIC EVER in my life until I took Wellbutrin. Now I am labeled Bipolar II and taking hard core stuff that I feel is to harsh on me.
>>>>>>>>>> Again, if I were you, in THIS case, I wouldn't take the hard-core bipolar stuff and would not accept the bipolar diagnosis. I have a brother who one doc said was bipolar. My brother is NOT bipolar....good thing he went to another doc and got put on an Anti-dep, which worked fine. Doctors are sooooooo often wrong.
I am depressed not MANIC. Help is appreaciated.
>>>>>>>>>>> Hey IF someone IS manic, they NEED the meds.....IF you know you're not, I wouldn't take the stuff.
I know you are not doctors, just looking for your experience/opinions/knowledge.
Thanks in advance.>>>>>>>>>>Take care! p.s. Tell that doc to take it for you and let you know how it turns out (lol!)
