Ritalin Withdrawal

Posted by JWill989 on August 18, 2003, at 17:54:54

I'm going through withdrawal from ritalin right now, and am wondering what to expect. After having taken ritalin for about 5 years, at varying doses, I tapered off, at the advice of a new doctor, and have ceased taking it completely for two months now. The effects, so far, seem to be just the predictable lethargy, but also extreme depression, but it is difficult to tell about the depression. Has anybody out there gone through ritalin withdrawal FOR THE LONG TERM, withOUT ANY OTHER STIMULANTS to take its place. If so, I would very much like to hear about your experiences therewith. Thanks.

John
