hi, I've been on Celexa and I'm on my 3rd week of Lexapro. I cannot tell any difference in the early stages of treatment with either med. They both work well for me. I haven't gained any weight-I've lost some in fact, and the depression has lifted. The Lex IS giving me some jitters and insomnia-but I am taking OTC Unisom for that 50mg HCI and it seems to help.
I think if anyone gives any med a fair trial only then can one decide if it's for them. I really like Lexapro--so far;)
All the best,
Gal

Does Celexa cause as much anxiety and irritability as Lex or might it be more calming, sedating (I'd LIKE the calming, sedating option!) THANKS for all responses to the "differences" between Celexa and Lexapro!!!
