MAOI's in the uk! And SAD!

Does anyone know how to get onto a maoi in the uk.
Gp s here cant prescribe them,(or that is what i was told)
It is possible to order them from overseas, but that's expensive and i'm not to keen on being out of the medical loop whilst on a maoi.

Also has anyone with severe SAD been helped by maois, benzos or any other particular drugs?
