I was on Effexor for years and recently went off. The medication is completely out of my system and I did suffer from anxiety while I was coming off it. I like the example above. That's pretty much what it's like. Effexor wasn't working, or so I thought, but when I went off it, it had to be doing SOMETHING because I was a mess when I stopped it. For so many reasons, I chose to try Lexapro. I really think that your symptoms will subside, just try to be patient and hang in there, can you ask your doc for something, if need be, to help in the meantime????
Hope this helps........

Has anyone else experienced this before and does it subside? If anyone could shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it.I fear this drug has permanately screwed me up.
