Hi, I recently started seeing a new "doctor", in other words psychiatric nurse. I don't know what one does to actually see the physician. Any way I have had problems with extreme anxiety and depression for many years. I have tried every SSRI known to man, and for me the side effects weren't acceptable. My former psychiatrist had me on 1 mg.of Xanax x 3, Neurontin 300 mg.x 3 times a day and Lexapro, also 10mg.of Ambien as needed. I quit the Lexapro after one month because of side effects. Any way my new "doctor" seemed horrified at the amount of Xanax I was taking and started me on Xanax XR 2 mg. once a day, Sinequan 75 mg. and Neurontin 300 mg.x 4. Her goal is to get me off the Xanax completely. The Sinequan is supposed to help with anxiety, depression and help me sleep. She said "no" to a request for more ambien. Any way to make a long story short I have felt terrible since I started this new cocktail. It's been about 2 weeks. The Sinequan seems to have the reverse effect on me, instead of sleep it makes me feel wired. It also gives me major dry mouth and makes me feel spacey. She also said it wouldn't make me gain weight which was a huge issue with SSRI's with me. I haven't had a good nights sleep since I started it. Does anyone else out there take Sinequan? What have your experiences with it been? I also read that it makes you more sensitive to the sun. I live in FL and have had many basal cell carcinomas. I wonder if this drug will make that worse also. BTW the reason that I changed doctors is because I just moved here from Rhode Island. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..
