You might have to judge that highly subjective term "the end" by how you feel. Luckily, even though Klonopin has a long half life, the t-max (or time for it to peak in your bloodstream), I think, is only a few hours--like two to four, or something like that. You'll know if you're going to fast, and you can always just take a little bit more ("a little" being relative to where you are on your taper) and you should feel better pretty quickly. Then you can say to yourself, "I guess that was too fast," and slow the taper down. I sort of had to "go by feel" like this when I was comming off of Effexor.***********
One thing I would say about Klonopin withdrawal is this...the only time I've withdrawan was cold turkey from 2mg/day. I didn't really notice much but some extra anxiety until almost one week into the withdrawal, and then *bam* I started getting clonic jerking throughout my whole body. One week later! This didn't seem possible to me. I think it was a delayed symptom of the Klonopin withdrawal, but I can't be sure...don't know what else it would be from. It lasted about three days. Anyway, I'm telling you this because the withdrawal symptoms of a decreased dose might not show up for several days. They *might* not, according to my personal experience, but I'm not basing this on published data...just my experience. Just in case, keep an eye out for delayed withdrawal symptoms. If they pop up, rest assured that you can dissolve some extra clonazepam in your mouth and you will probably feel better in just a couple of hours.MB
Oh yeah, *Good Luck!*
