EFFEXOR WITHDRAW NEVER AGAIN

Posted by galkeepinon on July 26, 2003, at 23:51:44

I have learned my lesson......... those of you who are out there on Effexor and decide to try and stop taking it-you might want to think twice.
This med is a serious medication that is tricky. 3x now I have tried to stop it and all 3x I have suffered horrific effects. I'm a mess. I am having the worst migraine headache of my life, that isn't even responding to a common migraine medication (Amerge), brain shivers, suicidal thoughts, depression-the worst I have ever felt in my life, and the list goes on. I am starting back on the med tomorrow. Even though Effexor is not an addictive medication, it sure as heck can wreak havoc on your mind if you stop it when you've been on it for a while. No way will I ever try to go off it again.
Does this medication plant a chip in your brain or something that sends out transmitters that make you feel this way when the drug is no longer being "fed" into your body?????

what an aweful, aweful experience, puts your life on hold, I wouldn't wish this on anyone, ever, no way, no how
