I like Provigil, and I'm an anxious type. I tried it for a while and found that it made me feel more motivated and enthusiastic without causing anxiety (now I take Adderall instead because Provigil didn't help enough for ADD). I should add, though, that I was taking Klonopin along with it. I doubt it would bother me without the Klonopin, but can't say for sure.

The Provigil pills are easy to break, so you could try a small dose at first. You should be able to get a free sample from your doctor to test out.

Wellbutrin, on the other hand, made me extremely edgy and nervous, even at low doses. I've tried it with Klonopin and had a similar response, just not as intense.

BTW, more than a cup or so of coffee also makes me very tense. So, my response to different stimulants varies greatly, as does that of many other people.
