My weight on Effexor is centered on the waist, although it is elsewhere, too. I never had clothes be too tight at the waist before. That's because I couldn't even get into clothes that would be tight at the waist if I gained any weight because the proportional hip gain was always there keeping me out of that size.
I can't lose weight on Effexor. I was a successful dieter before. I have gained weight every now and then, but, sooner or later, I slowly took it off with moderate dieting and then kept it off with ease. I unfortunately had twenty pounds on when I went on Effexor. That's the most I was ever overweight before. Six months later I increased to thirty pounds. I beat most of the last ten lbs (until recently) but can't take off the twenty.
Recently I have been battling a new gain. Has anyone ever gained weight from beginning vitamins? I swear, that is the only real difference since I gained eight more pounds. I just quit vitamins because they are hard to take, and five of the eight pounds are gone. How can this be? I'm afraid to take the vitamins again. I never took them before and really wanted to try taking them. Anyone familiar with this? I took in an extra couple of glasses of water a day with them; I am not a water drinker and don't drink a lot of liquids. That's not a lot of water, is it? I have tried to drink more water before and I never put on weight doing that. I added at least that much water a day for comparable periods of time. I need the two glasses to choke down those vitamins and minerals because I don't swallow pills well. I took the vitamins a lot more consistently than the minerals, which are in four pills instead of one. Has anyone experienced this?
