There is a true elemental lithium, but it degrades so quickly that it doesn't survive processing. But it's great stuff! There's a non-sulphuric hot springs spa in Mexico called Rio Caliente - a very simple unpretentious place run by nice people. The drinking water is taken daily straight from the 150-degree spring, then cooled and filtered. The elemental lithium content is the highest found anywhere. And let me tell you, this place is mellow. Two days in the place, and everybody starts walking around with a smile. The hikes, yoga classes, massages, and hot-spring pools don't hurt, but neither does the lithium.
