What is the cost per month? It's a real hassle of logistics--I have to get in touch via phone with my former pdoc in New York. He'll write an Rx (for Parnate) that says 800 tabs "for patient residing overseas," then mail it to my family/forwarding address. I've never run into a pharmacy, at least in L.A., that refused to fill a large quantity like this.
It also pays to shop around to get the best price. This year, my 1000 tabs (10 bottles) came to something like $775, but I'm not certain about that(don't have the receipt in front of me). The actual cost per month will depend on your dosage, i.e. how many tabs you have to take each day. Walgreens seems to have pretty reasonable prices compared to the other big chains. I know of some small private pharmacists that will go even lower than Walgreens. Try to bargain with them. You have nothing to lose, especially if you have no insurance and are paying out of pocket.
