Thanks for the info on NMDA antagonism... I seem to recall that dextromethorphan is an NMDA antagonist. I wonder if it's possible that DXM, taken in normal therapeutic doses, could achieve the same effect? More importantly, I wonder if chronic administration in this fassion could be dangerous (i.e. Olney's lesions)?
Re: my experience thusfar with tramadol, yes, it has helped remarkably with my depression. It also seems to be improving the quality of my sleep, and has decreased my anxiety even further. But perhaps the most welcome effect is the complete relief of OCD symptoms that I've had since my first dose. No more counting words and letters, no more compulsive checking to make sure I'm not stepping on the cracks in the sidewalk, lol. I'll keep you updated.
