ANY ONE PRESCRIBED PROVIGIL IN UK?

High I'm new to the board.
I live in Cambridge UK and suffer from a mixture of social phobia and lack of motivation.
Having read the good reports on Provigil on this board I am keen to try it, but have had no luck with the doctors here.
When I asked my GP he said that he would not consider giving me Provigil as it was an amphetamine! I told him it wasn't, but he didn't believe me, I wasn't sure whether to laughth or cry.
If any one has had any luck getting it prescribed in the UK I would really apreciat hearing their experience!
