> I haven't been here since Jan.and I wish I had not left. The main thing that brought be back were questions about Nardil and then I saw posts on X and read them all. Now I know why I have been searching for X since 1994. Someone said that whomever was upset/looking (can't remember exact post) about the discussion on X needed it because of its effects and really needed an anti-depressant. The point is I loved X and researched it (retired nurse) and found out about trial in NC using it for psychiatric purposes. DUH am I dumb - of course I loved it. It increased my serotonin levels to the level at which I wasn't depressed (for a min.!!)After 21 trials of SSRI's I finally found Nardil 7/02 and I have never felt better in my life!
Great to hear- truly a wonder drug!
But I continued to look for X,obviously not very hard cuz never have found here in the boonies. And DUH again, gee I don't need it now!!!
> I am so glad I found that section, now I can truly forget about the stupid thing(maybe LOL)!
> Now to my question - I have gained 25 lbs since being on it and I am also on Ritalin due to drowsiness from chronic pain narcs,so you would think that I wouldn't have gained that much. I have researched Parnate and weight gain is not listed as a side effect. I gather wt. gain is an inherent property of Nardil.A lot of people- the majority I'd say- gain weight on Nardil. Parnate, on the other hand, does not seem to do this. Very Rarely have I heard of weight gain on Parnate. Parnate can be a great drug for many so give it a go if the weight gain gets you down a bit.
Good luck!
Ace.So if anyone can help me I would really, really appreciate it.(buying a size 16 is awful).
