> I have been taking Geodon for OCD for about 3 weeks now. I am on 40mg twice daily. It has helped with most of my intrusive thoughts but unfortunately I read the label of possible side effects and saw some about irreversible muscle issues. Yikes... i have never been prone to panic attacks but i had one the other day. I just knew i was going to wake up with this side effect. I seem to be hypervigilent with any twitch or unusual movement on my body. It has been a very scary experience for me. It is my OCD kicking in but reassurance of any sort would be most appreciated. Thank you.
Reassurance won't help dude. You can have reassurance 'til your blue in the face, and you'll still be worried. My advice: It's an obsession (with a grain of truth), let it go bro - actually once it sets in, ie the medicine, if it works for OCD, you will probably let it go naturally!
I'm the same way to Zyprexa: I have hundreds of reports proving muscle problems are very rare on it- but I focus on the slim chance all the time.My new attitude: let it go, take one day at a time- don't look into the future.
Good luck,
Ace.
