ACCCCCCCK.
Two med changes have been made:
1) About 2 weeks ago, my pdoc lowered the SSRI a-d signicantly and that *revved up* feeling that I would literally start to feel within a half-hour or so of taking it each morning has GONE, thank goodness, as has the going off on people and over-reacting to minor things. So progress IS being made in these areas.
But the anger and irritability, while LOWERED, are still at levels higher than where they are *normally* for my personality. Actually, I am a gentle soul who does NOT even get angry or irritable! Honestly. So, this behavior is foreign to me, even on a reduced level.
2) Pdoc also increased the Depakote to 750 mg/day which may not sound like much to people, but for this med-sensitive person it is. Plus, he is having me divide it - I take 250 mg 3 times a day.
I feel tired, sluggish, DEPRESSED, unmotivated, crappy in general.
HOWEVER, I have TWO MAJOR STRESSORS going on in my life right now that are very, very difficult to deal with and are very hard on me.
So, I don't know if the continued anger/irritability plus the tired/sluggish/depressed feelings are due to the MED changes and/or the STRESSORS.
I will say that I had taken Depakote in the past - got up to 1000 mg/day with bad results - basically comatose and depressed.
What do people here think? Should I give the med changes more time?
I have an appointment with my newly assigned pdoc early next month, but could probably have someone in her office speak with her about my concerns if necessary before then.
Thanks for any feedback, suggestions, etc.
