No - I have tried stimulants before - but not for a year or so and not with this doctor. I had gone to this new guy expecting to go on dextroamphetamine, but he told me about Strattera... I wish it had worked out because it worked better than stimulant meds and it did not keep me up at night.

Did you use Wellbutrin for ADD or depression or both? And how did it work for the ADD? I am not depressed at all and so I hestitate to go on somethng designed for depression. I have used Serzone for depression before (a year ago) and it slowly made me go crazy...

Overall the results were great - not only did the medication make me feel more patient, more attentive and calmer, it even regulated my sleep. And - it started to work after only about five days! It worked much better than any stimulant medication that I have taken and, since I am in my mdi 30s, my doctor considered it safer than the stims that I used to take.

The only time I had any potential for sexual sensation was at about 6:00 AM, after the Strattera started to wear off and before I took another pill. Even this small window started to close when the medication built up in my system. SO - I had to stop taking Strattera - I mean this is not an acceptable side effect...

However, Wellbutrin is not supposed to have a high percentage of sexual side effects. My hope is that it might have some of the same benefits as Strattera without the impotence. Can anyone offer my any feedback?
