What dose are you CURRENTLY on? It could be that because one has to start LOW (dose) and SLOW that your pdoc has you doing the divided doses, but once you work your way up, you can take it all at once.
Lamictal is tricky because of the potentially fatal rash it can cause if introduced at too high a dose, too soon.
Ask your pdoc (who I am guessing told you do divide it) WHY he/she went that route.
