Sonata Shortage Nationwide?

I've been using Sonata occasionally for insomnia for the last six months. When I went to the pharmacy to refill my prescription, I was told it was backordered at the manufacturer and that it would be a while before it would be avaialable again.

Has anyone encountered this elsewhere across the US? I live in central North Carolina. What's the story on this??
