I have been taking 22.5 mg at bedtime for over three years. I am supposed to take one 7.5 mg in the morning, and the other 15 mg at night, but I have found that it is better at night for my chronic insomnia. I have taken clonazepam (Klonopin before-for about a year) it works OK. Tranzene seems to me to be a very mild benzo. I have tried about everyone you could name. For my purposes, for MOST people's purposes, it is probably the least "dangerous" benzo out there for long-term use. Alprazolam (Xanax) for example, can cause terrible withdrawal problems if one has been using it for a long time, and requires about a month to *properly* taper down from it w/o complications. Ativan is not too bad, but isn't used that much as an anxiolytic for some reason. So, that's what I think. I have no problems with clorazepate (Tranzene), and believe it to be very predictable and efficacious.
