No, unfortunately there's no accomodation next to Dr. Hutto's office. If you decide to do it, the office manager, who is extremely nice and helpful, should be able to give you the name of a residence motel- these are the least expensive, and have kitchens- within walking distance. Be sure to mention that you will need a supermarket and grocery store close by. Also ask her if there are any vans or buses servicing the hospital and surrounding areas.
I was discussing TMS with my pdoc today. He was very positive about it- considering it equal to ECT but without the possible memory problems. He did say that it tends not to last very long- usually a few months for the majority of patients, and that boosters are often needed. But he said that psychiatrists are finding that ECT is the same. I wanted to be sure that you were fully aware of this before committing yourself to come such a long way for treatment.
