I had to discontinue it due to waking overly grogged and ill physically. Bummer since I haven't found anything quite as effective (I think because temazepam doesn't tweak with REM sleep if I recall) and I've run through a bunch.It changes the ratio of the sleep stages, putting more into Stage 3, which is a major component of the "restorative" concept. It quite comfortably helped my sleep. I took it every night, for years, and it still worked.
