I am no CamW and do not purport to be as knowledgable as he but here is my two cents. It would be better to take 37.5 a day rather than 75 every two days. Because of effexor's short half life, if you do 75 every two days, you may experience some withdrawl symptoms on your off days. 37.5 is a more smooth way to do it. If you want to be really careful, go 37.5 a day then 75 a day for a week, then 37.5 a day for a week. then try to split the 37.5 in half and do that for a week. If no w/d's at that point, I'd say you are in the clear to quit. Good luck. And if you do get bad w/d's, don't freak out, there are ways to deal with it such as short term prozac use.
