Hallucinations Depression

Posted by starlight on May 21, 2003, at 15:19:47

Hi Folks,
I want to know what your experiences are with hallucinations. I've had several but realized that they weren't real. I asked my husband a question the other day, and he very clearly answered "no." Then I went to see him and found out he was actually downstairs the whole time and it was impossible that he could have anwered me. The other one was that I saw a person walk past me, and then looked back and realized there was no one there. I've had several of these types of incidents over the past week.

Since I realize that they're not real, supposedly they're labeled "pseudohallucinations" which pisses me off because at the time, they have a very real quality, not an overactive imagination.

I've also found myself to be depressed more as of late. It's allergy season and I'm having a hell of a time controlling my allergies - The eyedrops and nasal sprays have made me sleepy, but I've also had some suicidal ideation over the past few weeks. I'm not actively suicidal, but rather just sometimes think it would be a pleasant alternative. Big difference.....
