Hi. When I got off Celexa a couple of years ago, I had some insomnia and was cranky and irritable for a few weeks. I stopped abruptly, and that probably isn't the best way to stop. Perhaps if you do it gradually, you won't experience adverse withdrawal symptoms. I read some where that when withdrawing from psychoactive drugs, you should lower the dose by not more than 10 percent per week. By the way, Celexa is available in liquid form, so if you want to withdraw very slowly, I found it easier to do with a liquid. It's difficult to cut the pills into minute amounts. You can buy one of those medicine droppers and do it gradually.
