I've been on Effexor for 4 months. I still have sweats daily as well as many other side effects. Some went away, but they seemed to be replaced with new side effects, such as severe joint pain and headaches.

The sexual side effects are a problem at the 150 mg that I'm taking, but not so much of a problem that they outweigh the benefits. You mentioned tremors and sweats. It's possible that they will go away after you've been on the medication for a few weeks, should you decide to give Effexor a chance. I had nausea, headaches, sweating, etc. for the first few days on Effexor, but they went away. Similarly, when I started Serzone I had short-term memory problems, but they went away after a few weeks on the medication.
