There is perhaps this link.
Some studies show dramatically accerated
learning capacity in people with Bipolar
(in manic state). I think that if you
have a higher IQ this refelects the structure
and complexity of your brain's neural connections. This could lead to greater preception of emotion as well.

I think a more likely explaination is that
people of low intelegence tend to be in lower stress jobs. Ie factory work, repetitive, etc.
We all know that high stress is most likely
the cause/trigger of many peoples illnesses.


But anyone can get depressed,
