I found Daytona beach to be rather "dirty" looking. My 16 year old son isn't to anxious to return there either. Oh well, that's what makes the world go round. Seems Daytona is "Famous" ( or could be infamous ) 'cause all the bikers like to go there and drive up and down the beach. Also used to be a big Spring Break destination. I agree that there are much nicer beaches. The prettiest ( WHITE sand ) are in the panhandle, and Clearwater is nice too, just a lot more "touristy".
