This is true of the B vitamins in general. From what I've read, it's usually only an issue for a small population (elderly, alcoholics, those with digestive disorders).
Strangely, one of the symptoms of B6 deficiency are cracked sores at the corner of the mouth, which I just had last week. Depending on what you come across on the Internet, this may mean that I have a B6 deficiency, small yeast infection, AIDS, or Sjogren's Syndrome. I'll put my money on the infection.
