I am not against using medications in my practice. They are often very helpful but I am claiming they exert their effect through the more general psychological effects that they have on a person and not through a specific correction of a specific chemical imbalance for a specific diagnosis.

If I may ask a couple questions....
Using the state/trait dichotomy, would you say that e.g. antidepressants are capable of inducing states from which a subject may find it easier to cope with their traits?
How have your peers reacted to your article? Was it published in a journal?
