The thought was to come off the Prozac completely and go to Celexa/Lexapro combo (I do much better on 2 SSRIs--though in this case we'll have to see if the two are different enough). Anyway, adding the Lexapro knocked me out, and then adding the Celexa (now at 20mg) made it even worse. I suspect that there may be other issues here--e.g. I've been ramping up the doses of caffeine in the last 6 months to very high levels, and I don't know what it has done with respect to my alertness during the day (I suspect that it has made it worse, unless I indulge in the large amounts of caffeine). Anyway, I first found 50mg of ProVigil to be helpful. Then 3 days later it wasn't. So I went to 100mg. That was helpful for a week or so. With each, I'd notice the alertness wearing off afer 8 or so hours. I experienced more alertness if I took the ProVigil with 200mg caffeine. Now I'm at 200mg and not getting much more of a response than I did at 100 mg. It's better than nothing, for sure, but it has lost effectiveness in increasing doses over 2 weeks.

i take 150mg of zoloft and 10mg of buspar twice a day. I was sleeping all the time and had no motivation to do much of anyhting. Adding the provigil has helped alot. But it seems I am having the same reaction, that is the effect seems to be wearing off after a few weeks. Or it could be that I am just getting used to feeling this way as opposed to the dramatic difference at first. My psychdoc says 300-400 mg is used for ADD and depression so I can go up if I need to. I have been hoping that I have found the one drug that can help with the SSRI apathy since it seems I have to take the SSRI, sigh.Donna
