I've been on this dose for almost 2 months, and no sign of improvement. I want to try Parnate, because Nardil is bad for my motivation, but will Parnate cause me to be more nervous around people than Nardil? I

>I'm sorry cosis, but you consistantly perpetuate this myth that high, or very high doses of Nardil is needed for social anxiety. This is false, and leads people to believe that they must take a dose, a very high dose. I feel that this is irresponsible on your part.
Most people find complete relief or substantial relief at the 45-60mg range.. touting very high doses of meds like phenelzine is not based on any real science, and leads to increased incidences of adverse effects/side-effects, and further perpetuates the negative stigma attached this class of meds.
FWIW, Nardil is considered preferable to Parnate simply because of the extensive research associated with social anxiety
Some reputable anti-anxiety programs, even prefer Parnate to Nardil.
I have been on both, and at reasonable doses Nardil (60mg) and Parnate (40mg) and I am depression and social phobia free. Some of the adverse effects the original poster was discussing may be certainly due to the dose she is taking
