Neurontin-- 800mg three times a day
Picamilon-- 50mg three times a day
Lexapro-- 20mg
Tranxene-SD-- 22.5mg
Soma-- 700mg as needed
GVL-- 6 grams as neededKind of a weird combination, but it sure works! My rheumatologist put me on the Neurontin yesterday for fibromyalgia pain, and while I'm not sure about how well it'll work for that, I'm already feeling anxiolytic effects from it. I've taken it before, but at half this dose... didn't do a thing.
I know the Lexapro's doing its thing mostly because I'm just so used to that "SSRI feeling", if you know what I'm talking about. Very strange... feel a bit detached from things, but in a good way. Not hyper-sensitive like usual, but no longer anhedonic either. I'll still continue to raise my dose as planned... hopefully there will be a dose that will allow me to discontinue one or more of the other drugs.
I just switched to Tranxene-SD (single dose), and find it much more practical than the immediate release formulation. Seems to last all day for me. Though I think I'll give Xanax XR a try next month.
As for the Soma, I had my psychiatrist call in a prescription for meprobamate for me to try just a few days ago. I found it much less effective than Soma, so now she tells me to take the Soma on a prn basis. Tolerance definitely develops fast to this stuff though... I can't take it two days in a row and get the same effect the next day. But by the next day, my tolerance resets. Weird. But anyway, those in-between days I can substitute GVL for Soma. Doesn't work as well, but still basically gets the job done.
Okay, time for me to get off the computer. Just wanted to share this with everyone before going out (!) to the mall (!?!). lol... I haven't been to the mall in years due to agoraphobia (not to mention even leaving my house, except for doctors' appointments and picking up prescriptions), and now I called up some old high school friends and am meeting them there. How cool is that, lol. I just can't possibly express in words how happy I am, so I'll stop typing now. Catch ya on the flip-side!
