substance-P antagonists

Posted by Elizabeth on April 15, 2003, at 20:40:31

Hi guys. Today I spoke to a research coordinator for a study of a sub-P blocker (no name yet, and I forgot to get the number). I'd have to go off Trileptal, so I'm probably not going to be involved in this study. (Effexor I'm willing to go off of for the study, but I might be putting myself at risk of potentially dangerous episodes if I stopped taking Trileptal. If I am going to try going off it, I think it would be best to do it in the hospital. This might not be an option, though, as I don't have insurance!)

One other thing: has anyone else out there been in a trial of a substance-P blocker? I'd be interested to hear what other folks thought of it (assuming, of course, that you didn't get placebo!).

Thanks,
-Elizabeth
