In reply to Wellbutrin pooping out?, posted by mp1266 on April 11, 2003, at 15:45:51
> I have been on Wellbutrin for 2 years and thought it worked great. In October it did not seem to be working anymore, I was crying all the time - really stressed. But then again I had just moved to a new city, was looking for a job and got a divorce. I decided to try other antidepressants (effexor and lexapro) and they all have terrible side effects (sexual, sleepiness, weight gain). I'm thinking about having my pdoc put me back on wellbutrin but increasing the dose from 300mg to 400mg. Has anyone seen benefits with increasing the dosage of wellbutrin?
It could have very well pooped-out. I think moving to a new city is not a reason for a med to loose it's effectivness. You may have just started to get used to your previous environment. If that's the case then maybe Wellbutrin had a good placebo effect. Perhaps try some new ADs and see if there is any improvent. Best wishes.-Carlos
