I'd like to weigh in here: Topomax is, without a doubt, the most dangerous drug I ever took. I almost went mad also, along with many other problems. That having been said, I don't think Lithium would ever do that. I'm taking Eskalith CR, and it took quite a long time for the therapeutic effects to build up - I'm talking months and months. What type are you taking?
