I am currently on Desipramine and occasional Ritalin combo, but am considering switching to Parnate which I did take at one time, but at a low dose of 10-20mg. Also, I did not take it everyday like you are suppossed to, so I think I had only a partial response. Hope you are much improved with Parnate. What dosage are you taking? Thank you. Angel1Yes, you barely scratched the surface. I'm taking 40 mg per day and feel like my life has been given back to me. For the past 18 years, Parnate has worked wonders and perhaps it's the only AD out there that I could be satisfied with. I don't mind making the dietary sacrifices. I think I've seen posts from people who lose weight while on Parnate, but with me it has always been the opposite. I'm not sure if that's a side effect or just a natural consequence of regaining my appetite and pigging out.
As I tell everyone who's interested in switching to Parnate, do your research on it first and if you want to try it, tell your doctor. If he balks, get yourself another doctor who will prescribe it. Thanks for caring about me.
