Now he is a quiet cooperative boy ecpt for the behaviors that I mentioned like the humming noise that seems like coming from a high anxiety. Only when we mention the medication gets mad.

In cases of immediate concern to the day-to-day health of the child, it is perfectly acceptable practice to give the child Klonopin or another benzodiazpine while waiting for the medication to kick in for a few weeks.

Abilify might help, but it can produce anxiety in the first few weeks. Have SSRIs been tried first? If your son cannot sleep because of the anxiety, or is experiencing nightmares, there is a legitimate need for Klonopin while waiting for a med to kick in.

These meds will likely cause nightmares and anxiety in the beginning in an anxious patient, so taking Klonopin for the first month is fine.
