Yes, I have had a similar experience. I always thought people who said they could tell brands from generics were deluded.
But when I switched from the Dextrostat brand to Barr Generic Dextroamphetamine, I could really tell the difference. The Barr felt qualitatively different, and also felt about 1/2 as potent.
Fortunately my insurance still considers Dextrostat to be a generic for Dexedrine, so it is as cheap for me as a generic.
