My son is currently looking for a lawyer. He was in a jail and the officers totally stopped his effexor. So, he went cold turkey off of effexor xr through no choice of his own. He went through severe withdrawel, had to go to the E.R. and even went into convulsions. Even though he didnt start taking it again, he continues to have symtomes of withdrawel THREE WEEKS AFTER being off of it. He has just been diagnosed with 'Discontinuation Syndrome'. Thanks to the drug company and the county jail, he may have to suffer with this indefinitly. I know there is a lawyer out there that will want this case. But I would be interested in a class action suit against the drug company. If anyone is interested in persueing this, please contact me at looney_2n2002@yahoo.com.
