I'd also add to djmmm's excellent comments, that clomipramine (a TCA) is still used somewhat to treat OCD with decent success. Some people respond to it better than the SSRIs.

Also, Remeron can be used to treat OCD, though it didn't help me sadly.

If you are near Stanford/SF Bay Area, there is a trial on oral morphine for treatment resistant OCD patients going on currently...and the psych heading the study is fantastic.

Good luck treating your OCD...I can sympathize!
