I have been on this dose for just over a week now. I don't feel any different, i.e. I just feel as dead as ever. I don't enjoy anything anymore. All I do is smoke and I would love to give it up but that is all left for me. Nothing else, the last to go was sex over two years ago. I don't enjoy music anymore or socializing, a glass of wine, a decent meal, sunny days, nothing not even my daughter. Sometimes I feel so frustrated that I over eat or smoke some opium when the only other choice is suicide (about once every six to ten weeks). It relieves the frustration for the day but the next day it loses its effect and no matter how much of it I smoke, it just makes me feel anxious and generally unwell.

> Sorry I am getting away from the point, which is I have heard that coming off Paxil is just as bad as coming of Effexor, in fact it is worse. So I am wondering if I am doing the right thing, no matter what the doctors say. I could be jumping from the frying pan into the fire and since it is not having any real therapeutic effect what is the point?
