Well, she may not be just ADD, she may have a big ole atypical depression problem too, in which case she may need more. And dex builds tolerance, so the dose goes up over the years.
There are people on mind boggling amounts of an AD called Parnate, which metabolizes to methamphetamine/ amphetimine. I don't see how they stand it but apparently that's what they need. Every body's different. Different genetic groups will metabolize certain drugs differently, too. Med doses are very personal.
